Trotwood is one!

We've had Trotwood for exactly a year today and I had to mark the occasion with a post. He is, without a doubt, a perfect little budgerigar: very tame, placid, and affectionate, yet still independent. He's very talkative, too, and of the three he's the only one who dances, and the only one who won't be stroked (but he's the one who will sit on my hand the longest). I remember when we first got him and he used to sleep on the bedpost. In fact, the only time he's difficult is when he's out in the aviary (getting them all, but Trotwood in particular is a two-person job and a spare half an hour is essential). I love my little Trotbot. I chose him partly because of his Mohican, and partly because he was sitting at the back of the cage getting pecked off two others. Now, he's very much in charge and the other two cuddle into him (but not each other). Perfect perfect little bird!
